Troubleshooting: Email quote delivery
What you see (default): Tapping Email quote opens your mail app with a PDF attachment. Hosted quote and invoice links in email is off by default under Settings → Quote & invoice options.
View link instead of PDF: Turn Hosted quote and invoice links in email on, confirm you have a data connection, and try again. When online, the handoff places a secure view link in the message; if the link cannot be created, the app attaches a .pdf file instead. If the link uploads but your mail app fails to open with the link in the body, N78-Ops falls back to a PDF attachment rather than leaving you with an empty handoff.
Sent status: The quote marks Sent when you return to N78-Ops after sending from your mail app—not when the composer merely opens. Back out without sending and it stays Locked.
PDF attachment missing: Some OEM mail apps or “lite” clients drop non-image attachments. Try Share PDF from the quote and pick Gmail, Outlook, or Save to Drive / Files, then attach the saved file from drafts.
What you can do:
• Toggle Hosted quote and invoice links in email on Settings → Quote & invoice options (tap ? beside the row for detail).
• Use Share PDF and choose a different handler.
• Save the .pdf from the share sheet, then attach it manually in your mail app.
• Confirm the client’s email address is filled in (N78-Ops may also copy it to the clipboard for the To field).
Hosted view links and 30-day server retention: When data leaves the device.
If the mail app doesn’t open at all, see Troubleshooting: Quote sending.
