Plans & limits

N78-Ops is one app on Google Play with three plans—Basic (free forever), Pro, and Premier. Basic is designed so you can run a real business on the free tier: generous 25 clients and 20 active quotes and the full core workflow, Built for businesses just starting out and smaller solo operations. An active quote is any quote that is not archived and belongs to a client that is not archived. All open quote stages—from Draft through Paid—count toward your plan limit. Archived quotes and quotes belonging to archived clients do not count toward your plan limit. Once you reach your limit, you can continue editing existing active quotes, but you cannot create new quotes or restore archived quotes until you reduce your active quote count or upgrade your plan. Frequently asked questions

Where do I get N78-Ops?

N78-Ops is almost here on Google Play (Android 10+ phones and tablets). This page will link to the store when the listing goes live.

What are Basic, Pro, and Premier?

Three plans inside one N78-Ops app—not separate downloads. Basic (free forever) gives generous limits for a free plan (up to 25 clients and 20 active quotes) and the full core workflow—ideal for businesses just starting out and smaller operations running real work without a subscription. Item Catalog: up to 15 saved items on Basic; unlimited on Pro and Premier. Pro (US list $79.95/year) is an annual subscription with higher caps (75 clients, 60 active quotes), Finance (expenses, manual GPS mileage + typed miles, tax reporting), unlimited Item Catalog, Save for accountant (ZIP), and QuickBooks export (on by default on Pro and Premier; turn off in Settings). Premier (US list $129.95/year) adds unlimited clients and quotes, Insights, automatic mileage (Schedule + work-vehicle pairing; GPS only for work-related drives), payment milestones, and optional scheduled Google Drive backup. Google Play shows your regional price before you pay.

Can I run my business on the free Basic plan?

Yes. Basic (free forever) is not a demo or trial—it is a complete day-to-day toolkit for solo operators. Generous limits (up to 25 clients and 20 active quotes) cover most new and smaller businesses: real quotes, clients, calendar-aware scheduling, Item Catalog (up to 15 saved items), PDF handoff, and portable backups on your device. You keep the same offline-first engine as paid tiers; Pro and Premier add higher caps and extras like Finance, mileage, Insights, and payment milestones when you need them—not because Basic stops being useful.

What counts as an active client?

An active client is any client or lead profile that is not archived. Archiving a client removes that profile and its quotes from active counts. For more information, see in-app Help → Plan limits: active quotes & clients.

How does Item Catalog work by plan?

Item Catalog: up to 15 saved items on Basic; unlimited on Pro and Premier. Saved catalog items speed up quote line entry. Upgrade to Pro or Premier when you need more than 15 items.

What counts as an active quote?

An active quote is any quote that is not archived and belongs to a client that is not archived. All open quote stages—from Draft through Paid—count toward your plan limit. Archived quotes and quotes belonging to archived clients do not count toward your plan limit. Once you reach your limit, you can continue editing existing active quotes, but you cannot create new quotes or restore archived quotes until you reduce your active quote count or upgrade your plan. For more information, see in-app Help → Plan limits: active quotes & clients.

Do I need a cloud account to use N78-Ops every day?

No. Day-to-day work—clients, quotes, schedules, jobs, and invoices—runs on your phone without signing into a Nivo78 cloud. Optional Google sign-in and Drive backup are Premier extras when you want them.

Does N78-Ops work offline?

Yes. You can create and edit clients, quotes, schedules, and jobs without internet. Invoices and PDFs are built on the device. When you tap Email or Text, N78-Ops opens your mail or messaging app and you tap Send—nothing goes out automatically when signal returns. You can share or print a PDF anytime, including offline.

How does calendar integration work?

Jobs save in N78-Ops first. On **Schedule**, **Best fit** auto-suggests the first open workday and open windows inside your hours (90-day horizon). **Next available slot** cycles other suggestions. **Tap any workday on the calendar** during booking to override—switches to **Exact time** on that date (stays there until you use **Next available slot** again). Slot badges show OPEN, TIGHT, or CONFLICT—CONFLICT overlaps need your confirmation before Accept this slot; TIGHT warns when trip or buffer is tight but you can still save. With permission, the app reads device-calendar busy time (including multi-day blocks on each day they span). **Add schedules to device calendar** (Settings → Scheduling, off by default) may offer **Add to calendar?** after you save—nothing is written silently.

How does mileage tracking work?

Basic has **no mileage** logging. On Pro and Premier, **type miles manually** or use **battery-friendly GPS** you start and stop (**Mileage OFF/ON** on the dashboard). While GPS runs, the **system status bar is red on every screen**; a **stopped timeout** (default 10 minutes) auto-stops tracking if the vehicle stays stationary so you do not drain the battery if you forget to turn GPS off. The tracker distinguishes **driving from walking**. On Premier, **automatic mileage** adds paired work-vehicle Bluetooth plus **Schedule** and date/time—GPS starts **only for work-related drives** when the vehicle connects (personal trips skip GPS to save battery); manual typed miles and manual GPS **stay available**. Equipment and other costs stay in your accounting software. In-app Help → **Mileage tracking by plan**.

Can I upgrade plans inside the app?

Yes—when subscriptions go live on Google Play. v1 ships with Basic fully usable; Pro and Premier appear as Coming soon until billing is enabled in a Play update.

Can I export or back up my data?

Yes. Full portable backups use verified Bkp_*.zip (password-protected) or Bkp_*.json (plain) files in the locked documents/N78-Ops folder. Client spreadsheet CSV cannot restore the app—use a full backup for device recovery. On Pro and Premier, Save for accountant (ZIP) includes spreadsheet and HTML quote files; QuickBooks export adds desktop import files when enabled in Settings (on by default on those tiers).

What happens to my data if I uninstall or switch phones?

Your business data lives on the device, so uninstalling removes the local database. Before you move phones, make a full verified backup from Settings or the dashboard Backup card, and keep the file somewhere you control (or use optional scheduled Google Drive backup on Premier when you enable it). On the new device, install N78-Ops from Google Play, import that backup, and restore using the same master password. If restore fails, the app rolls back automatically.

Is N78-Ops Android only?

Android phones and tablets are supported now (Android 10+) via Google Play. A shared core is designed so iPhone and iPad can follow the same business rules later; check this site for updates.

Does my personal or customer data leave my phone?

Not by default. Clients, quotes, schedules, and invoices stay in private app storage on your device—Nivo78 Mobile Apps, LLC does not receive your business database and there is no background upload. Data can leave only when you choose: send email or text (your mail or messaging app carries the content), turn on Hosted quote and invoice links in email under Settings → Quote & invoice options and send while online (off by default), share or export files, enable optional scheduled Google Drive backup on Premier, upgrade through Google Play Billing, or send feedback mail you compose.

Do you sell my business data?

No. Nivo78 Mobile Apps, LLC does not sell your personal or business data to data brokers, and the app does not use your information for third-party advertising. See the privacy policy for full detail.

How do quotes and invoices reach customers?

Quotes and invoices are built on your device. Email uses a PDF attachment by default—nothing is uploaded to our servers for that send. Turn on Hosted quote and invoice links in email under Settings → Quote & invoice options (off by default) for a secure view link when online; hosted HTML is automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days. You can also text a plain summary or share a PDF from the quote editor—content leaves only when you send from your messaging or mail app.

Can I schedule repeating jobs?

Yes. On **Schedule**, when you book a visit, use **Repeat** for weekly, every-two-weeks, or monthly presets—or open **More repeat options** for patterns like every other Monday or the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Can I split a quote into deposit and progress payments?

On Premier, Payment milestones on a quote let you split deposit, progress, and final payments with due rules. Today highlights open deposits and milestones. N78-Ops does not run card payments—you collect money with your usual tools and mark paid in the app.

Will I get a copy when I text or email a customer?

Optional. Settings → Profile → Copy me on customer texts and emails (off by default). When on, customer emails Bcc your business email and customer texts include your business phone as a second recipient.

Can I send data to my accountant or desktop accounting software?

Who is N78-Ops built for?

Solo operators and owner-operators who quote, schedule, and bill from the field—electricians, mobile techs, solo cleaners, handymen, landscapers, and similar trades—anyone who needs one phone screen to run the pipeline without a forced cloud account.
