Locked data & comment fields

Client and quote data are locked. Comment fields can be edited even when the page is locked.

What that means

When a screen shows Locked (or you have not tapped Edit / the pencil on a client profile), the client and quote data on that page—names, addresses, line items, prices, terms, and similar document fields—are read-only. Tap Edit quote (open padlock) or the pencil on a client profile when the app allows it to change that data.

Comment fields

These stay editable even when the page is locked:

• Client notes on a client profile
• Quote notes on the quote editor

Use them for reminders and context—they are not treated as locked client or quote data.

Not the same as private notes

Private notes on a client profile (Pro/Premier) are hidden until you unlock secure notes—that is separate from the Locked badge on the profile or quote.
