Booking a job on the calendar

Open Schedule from the dashboard, a client profile (Quick Book calendar icon), or Open calendar to schedule on an approved quote.

Browse vs book
• From the dashboard alone, tapping days is often browse-only (see jobs already on that day).
• From a client or quote, the day sheet enters booking mode with a Booking quote · #NNN strip.

Pick a day, then use the Details panel:

Best fit
• N78-Ops scans your work-week hours, job duration, drive time each way, buffer between jobs, other N78-Ops jobs, and (with READ_CALENDAR permission) busy blocks on your device calendar.
• Tap Next suggestion to try the next open window that day.

Exact time
• Set hour and minute (12h or 24h clock from Settings → Theme).
• Use −15 min / +15 min to nudge; the panel shows when the job ends.

Slot status badges (label only — tap Accept this slot below to save)
OPEN — fits cleanly inside your rules.
TIGHT — trip time or buffer is squeezed against another event; you can still save.
CONFLICT — overlaps another event; save only if you mean to double-book (Schedule anyway / Double-book this time?).

Save
Accept this slot writes date, start time, and duration on the quote (or lead visit). The quote must be Approved.
• Confirm dialogs appear for past dates, non-work days, and overlaps.

Already scheduled
• You cannot book a second time on the same quote without moving it first.
Long-press the job row → pick another day/time → Accept this slot, or Remove from schedule (clears N78-Ops only — clean device-calendar rows in your calendar app if needed).

Other day-sheet tools
Repeat — see Repeating jobs on the calendar.
Mark days off — days you mark unavailable are skipped in suggestions; you can still open the day manually.
Show only jobs from this app — filter when device calendars are shown on the grid (? on Schedule explains the filter).

Device calendar
N78-Ops always saves the schedule in the app first. Add schedules to device calendar (Settings → Scheduling, default off) may show Add to calendar? after save or reschedule — you confirm in the system calendar app; nothing is written silently.
