Setup walkthrough (step by step)

For the short version, read Quick start at the top of this list first.

  1. Business details: Open SettingsProfile and enter at least contact + phone; add email, address, and rates when you have them. Use Tax & pricing (Basic) or Finance (Pro or Premium) for tax rates and related options.
  2. Add a client: Go to Clients and add a client. Enter contact + phone at minimum; email when you plan email handoffs.
  3. Create a quote: From Clients / Quotes, open a client. Use New quote or + next to the calendar on the profile. Add line items, set tax/discounts, and tap the save (disk) icon when you have unsaved changes.
  4. Lock, then send: Tap Lock quote (closed padlock) when the estimate is final — you must lock a draft before sending it to the client (text, email, Share PDF, or approval pack from the quote). See Quote drafting & locking.
  5. Approval: On the quote, under Job progress, check Approved when the customer accepts the estimate.
  6. Schedule: Open Schedule from the dashboard, pick a workday, and attach the client/quote when the flow asks.
  7. Completion: On the quote, under Job progress, check Completed when the job is done (cyan when completed).
  8. Today: Open Today from the dashboard anytime — each quote row shows status, colors, and the recommended next step (see Today: next steps per quote).
  9. Remove a client from active work: On the client profile, ⋮ → Archive client (quotes on that profile are archived too; nothing is erased). Turn on Show archive and empty quotes to review later. For leads, you can set lead status to ARCHIVED instead. For taxes and disputes, use password-protected backups and accountant exports before any factory reset.
