Finding your way around the app
Dashboard layout: After the N78-Ops header, Home groups tools by your plan — Work is always present; Finance & insights and some System tiles (for example Accountant Data) only appear when your tier includes them. The Show app map hierarchy and the diagram below match this install’s tier. The footer shows Tier and app version; open Show app map to see the same version line at the bottom of the map.
The diagram is a simplified map: think of Home / dashboard as the hub; spokes match shortcuts on your dashboard (on Basic there is no Expenses spoke). The picture also calls out Sunday vs Monday calendar headers and early Settings highlights.
Everyday use:
• Start from Home, open a tool, then Back (top left) retraces your steps.
• Home jumps to the dashboard and refreshes your saved data — use it after saves or restores when you want a clean anchor.
• Accountant Data on the dashboard opens the QuickBooks handoff screen (encrypted IIF export and export account names on Pro or Premium). Back returns to the dashboard. From Settings → Secure → Data & backups, use QuickBooks accountant export for the same screen.
Power tips:
• Quick Book: On the client list, tap the calendar icon on a row to open Schedule without the quote editor first. On the Quotes list, that shortcut can focus the same quote as a normal row tap.
• Quote ↔ profile: On a quote, tap the client’s name. The app saves, opens the profile, and Back returns to the same quote.
• Draft vs sent: A quote can have full line items but stay Draft until you lock it in the editor; then you can send it. Open Clients or Quotes to pick up where you left off.
• Today: Open Today from the dashboard for pipeline rows, jobs this calendar day, and next-step prompts tied to each quote’s status.
• Data & backups — on Basic, Settings → Data & backups (then Import backup & restore or the Backup card on that page); on Pro or Premium, Settings → Secure → Data & files. Backups, restore, and Save for accountant (ZIP) (when your tier includes it) — see Data files & backups below.
If something feels wrong: Tell support which screen you started from, what you tapped, and whether you used Back or Home.
